Active Living ... its a start!

Start by being active. Choosing activities that fit into your particular lifestyle and that are of interest to you help you to maintain your commitment to an active lifestyle.

Research shows that we accumulate 60 minutes of physical activity every day to stay healthy or improve our health so start adding up your activities in periods of at least 10 minutes each. Start slowly and build up.

"Certain factors influence our state of wellness. Improved nutrition, physical activity, stress coping methods, good relationships, and personal career success can all effect our 'wellness' ".

Hiring a Personal Trainer

When hiring a Personal Trainer it is important to consider the  word "personal".  Since the role of a PT includes being a teacher, coach, advisor, supervisor, and supporter the PT you hire should be compatible with you.

Some Personal Trainers gained experience because of their time spent working for large corporate organizations, or health club facilities. Depending on the PT, they  may have developed a more impersonal approach due in part because of Client irregularity and the shear quantity of people with whom they were working with on a daily basis.

On the other hand, those Personal Trainers that are with a Personal Training Company or Freelance Trainers  may have a different approach since they are responsible for their Clients on a direct basis.

At Lifewise, we put our Clients first. We strive to personalize our services to  each individual's needs. Since the primary role of a Personal Trainer  is that of an educator, we take professional development seriously. This continued education on the part of Lifewise Studios is always a benefit to our Clients.

Just don't know where to begin? Try our Fitness Evaluation to help you better in planning your goals. This evaluation can be used in conjunction with others or as a stand alone assessment to base further discussions upon.

Once completed, the evaluation can provide you with insight in determining your goals and fitness plans.

Fitness  Plans

To be effective, fitness plans have to be followed. To be followed, the fitness plan must "fit" the individual involved. This concept is paramount at Lifewise.

Lifewise Studio's "Misfits Cycling Club" is designed for individuals re-instating physical exercise in their life. 

Lifewise Studios Misfits Cycling Club focuses fun and fitness. Individuals are invited to participate in short leisurely rides, (under 50km) and incentive plans.
